THE FOUNDING OF STOCKHOLM
“The bishop of Strängnäs had a fisherman in his service at the palace of Tynnelsö. One day, the fisherman caught a fish, a large salmon, which he wanted to keep for himself. He sang loudly, “Salmon, salmon, baked in clay, you’ll never appear on the bishop’s table!” The bishop heard him, however, and threatened him with imprisonment, so the best thing the fisherman could do was to flee with the salmon. He landed on an island at the mouth of the lake where he settled down and thus became the first inhabitant of Stockholm.” – Medeltidsmuseum//Museum of Medieval Stockholm
Stockholm was just a stopover at first – a cheap layover on my way to the continent – but it turned out to be incredible.
Apothecarium is the bougie bar San Francisco mixologists wish they worked at.
Made a happy little friend at my favorite cafe. He loved cardamom buns as much as I do.
